Sadly, many dishes disappear as menus change, leaving the recipes undocumented and inaccessible for most of us. This loss is like losing Van Gogh's paintings or the majority of Kurt Cobain's songs. The culinary world is constantly losing a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Pushing culinary innovation

Gronda helps chefs showcase their culinary creations and share their knowledge with a global community of chefs and food lovers alike. In doing so, they are not only inspiring millions, but also pushing the industry forward.

Our story

Our co-founder Valentin grew up in a hotel in the Austrian Alps. He saw the hard work and challenges that come with being a chef, but also the passion his parents had for creating new dishes and making people happy.
Valentin always had more talent on the computer than on the stove, but when his parents had trouble hiring staff, he left his corporate job in Germany to help them. Together with co-founders Juan and Tobias they started Gronda, a platform to hire chefs.
When the COVID pandemic started, restaurants didn't need staff anymore. But chefs still wanted to be connected to other chefs. So, we changed our focus to help chefs showcase and make money from their recipes. This change resonated and transformed Gronda into the world's largest community for chefs.
Today, Gronda is the world’s biggest community for chefs and an indispensable source of inspiration for millions.
